BTCC heads to Silverstone
The battle to secure the 2016 BTCC Championship heads to Silverstone on 2nd October with Rob Collard aiming to improve on his current 5th position.
Rob currently holds the most fastest laps with four this season which means he has had 15 in his career and with 130 places gained during races in 2016, Rob is also on course to win the Dunlop Forever Forward crown – an award given to the driver who has overtaken the most cars during the season.
Rob Collard said: “Qualifying will be key and Sam (Tordorf) and I will certainly help each other out to try and make sure we’re as far up the grid as possible. We've had some challenging weekends recently, but we've still managed to score some big points against the odds, and that kind of resilience from the boys at WSR will be crucial in making sure we stay in the championship hunt. Sam and I know we’re going to need to maximise every opportunity that comes our way. With 39kg of success ballast on board, my car is lighter than it has been for a long time for qualifying and Race One and this should help me.”
