Rob Collard continued his strong recent form in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and took the No 10. ebay Motors BMW 125i M Sport to a second and third place finish in rounds 15 & 14 at Croft in Yorkshire (28/29 June).

Croft produced one of the most exciting qualifying sessions of 2014, with the top ten covered by less than a second. Rob ended the session setting the sixth fastest time.

A frantic race 1 saw a hard-charging Rob run nose to tail with the defending Jason Plato just ahead. The two produced some equally competitive action during the 14-lap race and despite his best efforts Rob could not find a way past and ended in a points scoring fourth place at the flag. As the lights went green for race 2 Rob showed good pace off the start and endured a race long battle with the Honda of Matt Neal. The pair battled for position until lap 11 when Rob had to concede and settle for a second fourth place finish but was promoted to third when Matt Neal was excluded from the results for failing a ride height check.

A visit to the second step of the podium in the final race of the weekend was the result of another great performance. Rob now lies fifth in the drivers standings with Ebay Motors leading the Teams and Independent Teams standings.

Commenting on the weekend, Rob explained: I am really happy to have scored points in all races. There were some great battles throughout the three races, and the third one of the weekend was the most rewarding one with a second place finish. The team did a great job over the whole weekend, and I¹d like to congratulate my team-mate Colin Turkington on his double victory. It was great that we both scored points for the team this weekend, and I very happy to leave Croft with Ebay Motors leading the Teams and Independent Teams standings.”
