Rob had a difficult weekend at Snetterton after his teammate Sam Tordoff made heavy contact with the rear of his BMW 125i as he braked for the first corner on the opening lap, leading to a puncture and rear-end damage. He fared no better in the second race when a collision sent him into the tyre wall damaging his suspension. Rob produced a great final drive as he forced his way up to 10th, a result that leaves him 10th in the drivers' championship.
Ricky Collard is still top of the drivers’ MSA Formula Championship standings although his advantage has been cut from 25 points to 10. He was fourth on the grid for race one and finished third. In race two, he started from eighth in the reverse grid race and came in sixth, extending his drivers' championship lead to 26 points. Ricky's final outing was always going to be a tough one as he started right at the back of the field but he produced a great drive to finish ninth.
